CALA – EMEA 09-2019 CAPITAL PROJECTS: INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENTS
Origin Invest have secured a ten year Asset Performance framework in relation to maintenance services for mechanical, electrical, engineering, instrumentation, onsite service, which is effective, responsive and fit for purpose. Utilising innovation and delivered through a range of local, regional and national contractors with agreed service level agreements (SLA's), visible performance reporting and effective post contract management controls.
Brazil – Brasilia 2010 FINANCE SECTOR: $4 BILLION STRUCTURED PROJECT FINANCE
Origin Invest was originally appointed to manage the preparation of the complex business case for the $4 Billion development fund to support regeneration projects in CALA (Caribbean and Latin America). Financed by Japanese investors Arise Group. The company appointed Brazilian banking giant Bradesco to work on the proposals to provide development finance to the region.
UK – Birmingham 2012 CONSTRUCTION SECTOR: CARILLION NEW LIBRARY OF BIRMINGHAM
Origin project expert is engaged for the Birmingham City Councils £188m development project, directly supporting £3.5m engineering install of the mobile archive storage system and mezzanine floor structure.
UK – London 2013 AUTOMATION SECTOR: HEATHROW T3iB
Origin Invest' provides management consultancy for the £400m Heathrow Terminal 3 Integrated Baggage construction. Origin directly supported the BITO Systems NV baggage rack storage and mini loader crane installation. Replacing the life expired baggage infrastructure in Terminal 3, the T3IB project delivers Heathrow's strategic baggage objectives, whilst removing equipment from the existing baggage hall, which will provide the opportunity for it to be redeveloped for other use. The project will provide the Terminal 3 airline community with a modern baggage facility.
UK – Birmingham 2013 ASSET OPTIMISATION: NEW LIBRARY OF BIRMINGHAM
Origin consultants selected to provide asset optimisation service within the Carillion PLC £188million new build 'Library of Birmingham' which is the most advanced and largest library in Europe. Origin service supports the state-of-the-art storage (including expansion space) for the archives which contain a number of unique, valuable, and very often fragile items that require safe, secure and environmentally controlled conditions. The archive materials date back to the 12th century and include manuscripts, photographs, letters, diaries, title deeds, estate papers, manorial records, legal papers, maps, plans, photographs, film, oral history recordings and digital resources.
Africa – Nigeria 2014 MINING SECTOR: SOLID MINERAL MINE PROJECT
Origin was mandated as lead financier in a USD $9.1 million project loan for a mineral mine transaction in Nigeria which spurred the sale of mining equipment from UK manufacturers Caterpillar (Unatrac), Parker Plant and Dando Drilling International. The transaction for Base Resource involved Cat machines including two large Cat 988 wheel loaders, six CAT 324 hydraulic shovels, six Cat 730 haul trucks, large Cat D8 track type tractors, along with drilling machines and the latest crushing / screening plant. The project qualified for UK Export Credit Guarantee from the UK Trade and Investment. The Torkula Village project is a world-class lead/zinc and barite deposits with many inter crossing veins. (Barite is used as an additive in drilling fluid/mud for oil/gas drilling operations (85-90% barite consumption), as well as in the pigment and aerospace industry. Origin Invest provided full pre and post contract and procurement management services
UK – Tamworth 2014 AUTOMATION SECTOR: OCADO EXPANSION
Origin Invest experts are selected to site manage the expansion of the automation / racking infrastructure at the Dordon site of online retailer Ocado as Morrisons pay £216m to establish a presence in the online shopping space.
UK – Oxford 2014 CONSTRUCTION SECTOR: BODLEIAN NEW WESTON LIBRARY
Origin Invest engineering installation team are awarded the mechanical installation at the New Bodleian Library University of Oxford, (The refurbishment is managed by Mace plc and currently projected to cost £80.47 million).
